GLC Lansdowne Primary Academy

The decision has been made to allow parents to collect their child from the Academy at 1pm for the rest of the week, due to the forecast extreme weather conditions. For those parents who would like their child to remain in school for the afternoon session we will continue to provide learning experiences for the remainder of the school day. We have not taken this decision lightly and appreciate that there may be mixed feelings about it. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. Gates will open at 12:55 and children can be collected from their classrooms. No child will be permitted to leave the school site without their parent. As a reminder, for the remainder of the week: • Pupils should wear their coolest uniform. • Please ensure that your child brings a water bottle so that they can stay hydrated. Thank you for your understanding and support. Pupil and teachers have coped well in the heat today and we will continue to do all we can to make everyone as comfortable as possible.
