This half term, reception delighted their families with a wonderful Christmas production. The children have worked exceptionally hard, focusing on orally rehearsing their lines, participating with enthusiasm, and learning how to be respectful and attentive audience members. It takes real courage and skill to perform in front of a wider audience, and the children should be commended for their dedication and confidence throughout the process.  Well done, Reception!

We recently participated in Boccia and Kurling and returned to school with great success. Finishing 4th in Kurling but then finishing unbeaten in Boccia coming 1st overall!

They will be competing in the Boccia county finals in January. This is the first time in at least 10 years our school have made it to a county finals. A huge achievement for these 4 students to represent our school.

The children were fully immersed in Roman life, starting with a hands-on Roman Immersion Afternoon. They explored numerals and designed mosaics, complemented by an engaging Now Press Play activity.

The learning culminated in a fantastic trip to Colchester Castle, bringing the history to life. In DT, pupils applied their knowledge by creating their own Roman shield designs.

During the October half-term, the children were assigned family projects to complete over the break. Here are some of the fantastic outcomes from each year group. Well done to everyone who took part!

The children have made a positive start to reception! 

They are familiarising themselves with the indoor and outdoor environments, establishing routines and expectations,  and building positive relationships with their peers. Well done, reception - we have made a sharp start to the Autumn term. 

All three Year 4 classes have begun their Samba drumming sessions with the brilliant Thurrock Music Services team. The children are already learning to follow beats and rhythms while experiencing the joy of making music together. These exciting lessons will continue weekly throughout the term!
