The pupils have been showing lots of excitement about learning new knowledge in their topics. In history, the pupils have been learning all about the Great Fire of London. They already know so many facts, such as; the fire started in a bakery in Pudding Lane in London when the King’s baker Thomas Farriner did not put the fire out properly. They are very excited about using their historical enquiry skills to find out more!

The pupils had a tremendous day on their school trip to the Tower of London, during their workshop with Jane the maid they learnt all about why the fire spread so quickly and how it was eventually put out. They loved exploring the historic building.
