Our Year 6 students showcased their creativity and technical skills by building rotary rides using electrical circuits! From measuring and cutting wood to carefully aligning pulleys, they worked with precision and teamwork to bring their designs to life.
The result? A series of innovative, fully functioning rides—a fantastic display of engineering, problem-solving, and collaboration! Well done, Year 6!
We are creating a team of Parent Champions who are able to provide support to each other in a judgement-free environment, to develop friendships and provide encouragement as well as learning together.
Year 4 had an exciting visit to Frameless, an immersive art experience in Marble Arch, London. This unique exhibition uses digital projections and music to bring famous works by Van Gogh, Monet, Klimt, and others to life. As they moved through four interactive galleries, the children engaged with art in a completely new, multi-sensory way. The trip was both inspiring and educational, encouraging creativity and a deeper
For World Religion Day in Acorns, the children enjoyed creating lanterns inspired by festivals of light like Diwali, Hanukkah, and Christmas, learning why light is important in these celebrations. They also had the chance to look at Jewish artefacts, such as menorahs and mezuzahs, and learn about their special meanings. This activity helped the children explore different cultures and religions in a fun and hands-on way.

What a fantastic afternoon we had at our 'Family Learning Session'! Students eagerly gathered with their families to whip up some delicious dips, using fresh ingredients sourced from our recent trip to Borough Market. This engaging activity tied beautifully into our Design and Technology unit, allowing everyone to let their creativity flow as we experimented with blending flavours.
This half-term Year 4 have been immersing themselves in the Second World War, through the eyes of David and Tucky in their class text Friend or Foe, and through their History unit exploring WW2 through the first-hand accounts of Holocaust survivors and Kindertransport children.
We also had an amazing experience at the Imperial War Museum Duxford where children had the opportunity to get up close (and in some cases inside!) aircraft from as early as World War 1 all the way to the modern age. We also had a rare experience of seeing first hand a Spitfire take off from the airfield, which left everyone in awe.
Year 6 had an amazing trip to Borough Market, where the children eagerly explored the lively market, sampling a diverse range of foods from across the globe.
They carefully chose ingredients for our upcoming D&T Family Learning Session, where they’ll be making delicious dips.
Following the market, we visited the Tate Modern art gallery, where the students were fascinated by the thought-provoking exhibits and embraced the creativity around them. It was a fantastic day full of learning, fun, and inspiration!
The Seedlings children have been exploring the work of various artists and creating their own artwork inspired by them. Here are some portraits the children created, taking inspiration from Picasso!
What an amazing day we had during our Year 3 Anglo-Saxon WOW Day! The children fully embraced the theme and had a fantastic time exploring the Anglo-Saxon world.
We started by making peasant bread, where the children enjoyed mixing ingredients and kneading dough. The smell was incredible! Then, we built a fire outside, learnt about fire safety, and roasted bread over the flames – a real treat with that smoky flavour.
The day also featured weaving, where the children created their own baskets, and clay pot making inspired by Anglo-Saxon art. They wrapped up by exploring runes and even tried writing their names in this ancient script.
Overall, it was a fun-filled day of hands-on learning, creativity, and history!
Year 2 had an amazing day when they went on their school trip to The Tower of London. The children enjoyed taking part in a workshop all about The Great Fire of London. They were amazed at the sight of the precious crown jewels and they loved seeing the ravens, especially the one called Polly who was sitting on the wall squawking very loudly to greet us when we arrived!
