Year 6 have been extremely busy putting on an ‘Oliver With a Twist’ production for their parents. From learning lines to dance routines, we are really proud of all their efforts and the incredible performance put on!
Year 6 also celebrated their SATs results in style, spending an afternoon on inflatables and enjoying fruit and ice lollies in the sunshine. Achieving the LPA’s best SATs results yet, they definitely deserved it!
The Year 6 team would like to wish all the students their best as they make their transition into Secondary school.
In our final half term as Year 4 pupils, we welcomed parents into our last family learning session to celebrate the children’s studies in Art. The children focused their talents on creating a collage inspired by the work of Henri Rousseau, filled with bright garden themed colours, tropical highlights and the odd animal or two, the children took inspiration from their Geography and English units - dedicating their work to the rainforest. The outcomes were simply beautiful!
We’d like to thank you all for your continued support, in this and every parent event throughout the year. It’s been an incredible year for all of us! We wish the children the very best as they continue their journey into Year 5.
Pupil Librarians launched the KS1 Book Burrow this half term. The Book Burrow will be officially opened to KS1 pupils this afternoon. This will be available during break and lunch times. Storytime sessions will also be arranged.
‘Thurrock held their inaugural SEND and AP awards on Friday 27th June at Stifford Clays primary school to celebrate the incredible achievements of children and young people with disabilities across the borough. There was a total of seven awards including Student of the Year Award, Little Achievers Award (EYFS – Overcoming Challenges to Access Education) and Alternative Provision Rising Star Award. LPA nominated 7 pupils in 3 different categories and 3 of our pupils, out of 94 nominations, made it the finals!
In each category there were two runners up and the winner. Two out of the three pupils from LPA nominated were winners.
The hall was a busy event and the pupils sat for an hour and a half listening to all the awards. Each pupil managed wonderfully and all had the confidence to go up on to the stage to receive their certificate and award. They all congratulated each other and were fantastic ambassadors for LPA at the event. We are incredibly proud of all of them.’

What a fantastic time our Year 6 pupils had during their residential at Stubbers! With activities ranging from paddleboarding and high ropes to evening campfires and group challenges, the weekend was bursting with excitement and adventure.
Our children demonstrated amazing bravery, collaboration, and perseverance—not to mention a few muddy shoes and plenty of cheerful faces!
A big thank you to our dedicated staff and the wonderful team at Stubbers for making the trip such a special experience.
Year 3 had a fantastic trip to Hyde Hall, where they explored the beautiful gardens as part of their science topic on plants. The children took part in engaging activities that helped them learn about germination, seed dispersal, and pollination. They observed how plants grow from seeds, how seeds travel in different ways, and the important role pollinators play in the life cycle of plants. Back in the classroom, the children also dissected flowers to investigate their different parts and understand how plants reproduce. It was a fun and educational experience that brought their science learning to life!
The Reception children worked hard preparing chocolate rice crispy cakes in time for LPA's Eco Community Fest.
The children worked well as a team and were very careful placing the ingredients in the cake cases.
They were delicious, well done!

Proudly presenting our LPA team of Parent Champions.
We meet every week on a Friday at 9.30 and everyone is welcome to join us. Next half-term, we are going to be supporting some Triple P parenting solutions - more information to follow.
During our family learning session, children worked with their parents and carers to answer questions that made comparisons. Eg. do people with longer arms have longer legs? Do children or adults have a faster reaction time?
In Year 2, the pupils thoroughly enjoyed their writing unit all about an egg they discovered on the school field. They wrote about what they thought could be inside the egg and used words to describe what it looked like. They were thrilled when the egg hatched and a strange-looking alien called Nanoo emerged. They wrote a letter to Nanoo to tell her all about life on planet Earth. Finally, they wrote an adventure story about Nanoo and her experience on Earth. Having such an exciting thing to write about meant that the pupils produced some lovely pieces of work. Well done year 2!
