  • History - Space Wow Afternoon

    Year 5 had an absolutely brilliant Space Wow afternoon! They embarked on an exciting journey, going through astronaut training that's sure to inspire the next generation of space explorers. The kids had a fantastic time learning what life is like in space and aboard a spaceship. To top it all off, they finished their adventure with a diary entry, capturing a day in the life of an astronaut. What a fun experience!

  • Year 1's Exciting Trip to Barleylands!

    Year 1 had a fantastic day out at Barleylands, packed with fun and learning! The children loved feeding the friendly farm animals and learning all about how they’re cared for. A highlight of the day was the bumpy tractor ride around the farm, which brought lots of smiles and laughter. To top it all off, the children got hands-on in the kitchen and made their very own delicious pizzas – a perfect end to a brilliant day!

  • Reception

    They are familiarising themselves with the indoor and outdoor environments, establishing routines and expectations,  and building positive relationships with their peers. Well done, reception - we have made a sharp start to the Autumn term.

  • Year 6 Family Learning Session

    Published 16/10/25

    Year 6 had their family learning session linked to science. Children (and some parents and carers) learnt about the four main components of blood and then tried to create their own using water, food dye, cheerios, marshmallows and small pieces of cotton wool. Thank You to those parents and carers who were able to attend this session.

  • Samba Drumming

    All three Year 4 classes have begun their Samba drumming sessions with the brilliant Thurrock Music Services team. The children are already learning to follow beats and rhythms while experiencing the joy of making music together. These exciting lessons will continue weekly throughout the term!

  • Food Tasting and Team Work in Year 2

    In Design and Technology, the pupils are learning all about couscous, they began by conducting research into a variety of different couscous flavours - some they loved and some they were not so keen on! In PSHE, the pupils have been learning about how they belong to a class and to make the class more successful they can work as a team to help and support each other. It has been a great start to new year!

  • Year 3 WOW Start

    What a fantastic start to the school year Year 3 have had! The children have thrown themselves into their learning with enthusiasm and curiosity. As part of our geography work, they explored maps and enjoyed an immersive Now Press Play experience, which brought their studies to life. Linking to our European topic, pupils researched and sampled delicious foods from across Europe – a highlight for many!

    In DT pupils have used their laptops to research bread and then taste tested many of the varieties before making their own bread.

    In science, we have been learning about healthy nutrition and food groups, helping pupils understand the importance of a balanced diet. The children enjoyed hands-on activities that encouraged them to think about making healthy choices.

    An exciting development this term is that every Year 3 pupil has been issued with a brand new laptop. This will support learning both in school and at home, giving pupils the tools to thrive in our digital world.

  • Year 6

    Year 6 have been extremely busy putting on an ‘Oliver With a Twist’ production for their parents. From learning lines to dance routines, we are really proud of all their efforts and the incredible performance put on!

    Year 6 also celebrated their SATs results in style, spending an afternoon on inflatables and enjoying fruit and ice lollies in the sunshine. Achieving the LPA’s best SATs results yet, they definitely deserved it!

    The Year 6 team would like to wish all the students their best as they make their transition into Secondary school.

  • Year 4 Family Learning Session

    In our final half term as Year 4 pupils, we welcomed parents into our last family learning session to celebrate the children’s studies in Art. The children focused their talents on creating a collage inspired by the work of Henri Rousseau, filled with bright garden themed colours, tropical highlights and the odd animal or two, the children took inspiration from their Geography and English units - dedicating their work to the rainforest. The outcomes were simply beautiful!

    We’d like to thank you all for your continued support, in this and every parent event throughout the year. It’s been an incredible year for all of us! We wish the children the very best as they continue their journey into Year 5.

  • KS1 Book Burrow Launch

    Pupil Librarians launched the KS1 Book Burrow this half term. The Book Burrow will be officially opened to KS1 pupils this afternoon. This will be available during break and lunch times. Storytime sessions will also be arranged.
