This half term, our Year 5 writers have been diving into the dramatic and captivating world of Shakespeare’s Hamlet. To launch this exciting topic, the children took part in a brilliant, immersive workshop that helped them unpick the complex storyline and get to know the play's fascinating characters. Through the use of drama and creative freeze-frames, they actively brought the story to life, stepping directly into the shoes of the characters to explore their conflicting emotions and hidden motivations. This hands-on experience has not only built their confidence in interpreting classic literature, but it has also given them a rich foundation of vocabulary and ideas.
