Stone Age Experience Day

Year 4 took part in a Stone Age experience day today, which proved to be an exciting and enriching learning experience. The day began with an introduction of fascinating insights into the Stone Age period and what life was like during that time.
Throughout the day, the children engaged in a range of hands-on activities, including a hunter-gatherer challenge (archery), creating arrows with real flint heads, producing cave-style artwork on slate, examining genuine animal bones, and exploring various artefacts from the era.
It was a fantastic way to conclude our History unit, helping to reinforce and deepen the children’s understanding of the topic while bringing their learning to life.
