Year 5 had a fantastic time on their trip to London, trading their desks for the bustling banks of the Thames! As a central part of our Geography unit on Rivers, the children took to the water on a river boat, gaining a first-hand look at the scale and significance of the River Thames. It was wonderful to hear them identifying landmarks they have learnt about in their Geography unit. The day was further enriched by a visit to the Tate, where the children explored incredible artwork and sharpened their observational skills. The children enjoyed looking at artwork and sketching throughout the trip.
