    Published 10/08/25

‘Thurrock held their inaugural SEND and AP awards on Friday 27th June at Stifford Clays primary school to celebrate the incredible achievements of children and young people with disabilities across the borough. There was a total of seven awards including Student of the Year Award, Little Achievers Award (EYFS – Overcoming Challenges to Access Education) and Alternative Provision Rising Star Award. LPA nominated 7 pupils in 3 different categories and 3 of our pupils, out of 94 nominations, made it the finals!

In each category there were two runners up and the winner.  Two out of the three pupils from LPA nominated were winners.

The hall was a busy event and the pupils sat for an hour and a half listening to all the awards. Each pupil managed wonderfully and all had the confidence to go up on to the stage to receive their certificate and award. They all congratulated each other and were fantastic ambassadors for LPA at the event. We are incredibly proud of all of them.’
