  • World Religion Day in Acorns

    For World Religion Day in Acorns, the children enjoyed creating lanterns inspired by festivals of light like Diwali, Hanukkah, and Christmas, learning why light is important in these celebrations. They also had the chance to look at Jewish artefacts, such as menorahs and mezuzahs, and learn about their special meanings. This activity helped the children explore different cultures and religions in a fun and hands-on way.

  • Year 6 Family Learning Session

    What a fantastic afternoon we had at our 'Family Learning Session'! Students eagerly gathered with their families to whip up some delicious dips, using fresh ingredients sourced from our recent trip to Borough Market. This engaging activity tied beautifully into our Design and Technology unit, allowing everyone to let their creativity flow as we experimented with blending flavours.

  • Year 4 Visit to the Imperial War Museum

    This half-term Year 4 have been immersing themselves in the Second World War, through the eyes of David and Tucky in their class text Friend or Foe, and through their History unit exploring WW2 through the first-hand accounts of Holocaust survivors and Kindertransport children.

    We also had an amazing experience at the Imperial War Museum Duxford where children had the opportunity to get up close (and in some cases inside!) aircraft from as early as World War 1 all the way to the modern age. We also had a rare experience of seeing first hand a Spitfire take off from the airfield, which left everyone in awe.

  • Year 6 Trip to Borough Market and Tate Modern

    Year 6 had an amazing trip to Borough Market, where the children eagerly explored the lively market, sampling a diverse range of foods from across the globe. 

    They carefully chose ingredients for our upcoming D&T Family Learning Session, where they’ll be making delicious dips.

    Following the market, we visited the Tate Modern art gallery, where the students were fascinated by the thought-provoking exhibits and embraced the creativity around them. It was a fantastic day full of learning, fun, and inspiration!
