Year 4 Visit to the Imperial War Museum

This half-term Year 4 have been immersing themselves in the Second World War, through the eyes of David and Tucky in their class text Friend or Foe, and through their History unit exploring WW2 through the first-hand accounts of Holocaust survivors and Kindertransport children.
We also had an amazing experience at the Imperial War Museum Duxford where children had the opportunity to get up close (and in some cases inside!) aircraft from as early as World War 1 all the way to the modern age. We also had a rare experience of seeing first hand a Spitfire take off from the airfield, which left everyone in awe.
