LPA Nursery Places

Thank you for showing an interest in our nursery at Lansdowne Primary Academy. We have two intakes per academic year (January and September). We take children a term after they turn 3 years old.

In order for you to apply for a place you will need to collect an application form from school or see below for a PDF version. A birth certificate and proof of address is needed to complete the application.

Application for Nusery admission available by clicking here

When it is nearing time for your child to start in the Nursery, we will contact you by phone or letter to see if you still require a place and a home visit will then be arranged. On the home visit a member of staff from the Nursery will complete the new admission paperwork and any medical forms that may be required.

Please note that due to the current Covid 19 circumstances, other plans are being considered which may not involve a home visit for a September 2020 start; however we will work with you to ensure your child has a smooth transition into our nursery.

Admission to years 1-6 [and mid-year Reception]

All applications to Lansdowne Primary Academy [other than Reception starters in September] will be administered directly by the school.

Please download our admissions form [link to application form] and complete in full.

Please note:

  • That we will not be able to consider any application that is not completed in full;
  • The admission deadlines and admission entry point towards the end of the policy;
  • That we will maintain a waiting list for each year group that is currently full.

Reception Foundation Stage

To apply to start Reception in September applications must be submitted directly to Thurrock Council Education Department.

Click above to apply from 1 November 2019 – closing date is 15 January 2020.  A late application means there will be far less chance of your child being offered a place at the school you want.

Year 6 to Secondary

Applying for a secondary school place at the Gateway Academy

For places in years 8-11 [and mid-year Year 7] you must apply directly to the Gateway Academy.  [link to application form]
