Alice’s Adventures at the Royal Opera House
As part of the Royal Opera House Trailblazer project the whole of year 6 have been studying Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures In Wonderland. As a Pinnacle to the project all of the pupils travelled to London’s famous and precious Royal Opera House , Covent Garden to watch
Alice's Adventures Under Ground. This fun, furious, frantic opera set in the surreal world of Lewis Carroll’s Alice, both in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. Throughout the performance pupils witnessed the vibrant Victorian toy theatre set and costumes of the new production, directed by Gerald Barry. The operatic performance allowed the children to witness The Red Queen, the White Rabbit, the Mad Hatter in this joyful, headlong rush into a world gone deliciously mad. It was a fantastic experience for all.
